Waterville Valley Resort - USA Ski Holidays

Waterville Valley

Waterville Valley is known among locals for offering a truly genuine New Hampshire ski experience.  And that experience starts with the resort’s spectacular location, a 500 acre valley surrounded by the peaks of New Hampshire’s White Mountains.

The ski area itself rises to 4,000 feet with terrain for all levels of skiers.  Valley Run, rated the best learning slope in New England, has 1.2 km of terrain.  The North Side features wide intermediate ski trails like Tippecanoe and Tyler Too.  Expert skiers head to the Sunnyside Slopes and black diamond trails like True Grit.   Fifty two trails, 250 skiable acres, and three terrain parks are covered 100% by snowmaking and nightly grooming ensures the best possible ski conditions.

Waterville Valley is also known as the place to learn to ski and snowboard. The staff is proud of its reputation for sharing the passion of sliding on snow with generations of skiers.  Group and private lessons, Kids Venture Kamps and family ski clinics are offered daily.  Waterville Valley’s Top Dog Ski and Snowboard Rental Shops conveniently serve guests right at the base and feature K2 shaped skis and Burton Snowboards.

The genuine New Hampshire experience continues in the small village, a short trolley ride away.  Here is Town Square, with a full service Nordic Center, indoor ice-skating arena, horse drawn sleigh rides and selection of alpine shops like Mountains of Chocolate and Waterville Valley Shirt Company.  Restaurant choices range from “three courses and candles” at Diamond’s Edge, a burger and a beer at Legends to the always popular Olde Waterville Pizza Co.  Most lodges and inns are also within walking distance of Town Square and guests have access to the indoor White Mountain Athletic Club with its pool, saunas and Jacuzzis.
